Secret Page

Hello. You found the secret page. You must like me.

Here are a few of my favorite facts:

  • There is a "law of urination": all mammals empty their bladders over the same duration. This is because bladder retention is proportional to the log(size) + constant, but the constant offsets the curve so far that it’s relatively flat across the size of mammal bladders.
  • Mercury’s day is twice as long as its year: it rotates so slowly on its own axis, that a full rotation is about equal to two of its orbits of the Sun.
  • The first human-made object on the moon was a cannonball full of flag pins.
  • John Keats loved to attend chemistry lectures to “increase his stock of metaphors”.
  • Whale blubber was used as lubricant on the Apollo 11 landing module.
  • Esperanto and Modern Hebrew were invented just a village away from one another in the Pale of Settlement.
